Many of you (Dchem, "Weecheeky", "World Wide", Kristen, Daisy, Mandy and several others) have commented how you liked the photos I posted for my recent vacation in Sonoma California. Well ... here are some more!

In addition to being a swell place to visit, California is definitely home to many, well, let's say, different types of people!! In Sebastopol (where I stayed for 8 days), there is an artist who makes metal objects d'art. The one above, depicting a dog, is made entirely out of metal and is alondside Highway 12 leading into Sebastopol. Many more such objects can be found along Florence Avenue in Sebastopol.

By the way, since time was so short, I had to forgo visiting San Francisco itself (except for driving thru it going to/from the SFO Airport). Besides, I've been to SF many times in the past and decided to focus on enjoying Northern California without the city life.
Again, thanks for all your many comments!! Keep 'em coming!! I'll try to reply but since I have a day job it may take a while to find the time to type out a response.

ReplyDeleteYou are a very lucky man. I love to travel but can only do so when I get my vacation from work. I just started blogging. One of the blogs - I have two - is about my travels. I recently visited Phoenix, Arizona for the first time, and the Grand Canyon.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your photos.
I love that (metal) dog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on blog of the day!
ReplyDeleteHi Chemist. You've probably already visited my country. Washington State... maybe. I'm teaching English out here in Korea. However, you should most definitely visit Korea. :)
ReplyDeleteYou seem to travel to lots of places. I am someone who enjoys travelling a lot as well. Unfortunately, have been unable to do so in the recent past due to other pressures. Anyway, keep them coming. Loved reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteI'll be visiting california in 20 days and your pics and posts can hardly do anything to contain my excitement about it all.....I'm so excited to come to california!!the metal dog is really goood.....hope u visit many other great places and write bout 'em....
ReplyDeletehi there TC!
ReplyDeletere the links; you mentioned you wanna try to figure it out. i notice your page doesn't have links or blogrolls in it yet -- yes, that's the sort of like directory thing that acknowledges / shows your ties with other bloggers. to tell you honestly, i believe links are 2 faceted: bloggers create them to get more hits and exposure of their blogsite (so they'll get easy money from their Adsense) and/or others create them simply because they wanna get updated and hooked-up easily with their favorite blogs/bloggers. not for the money. not for hits. but for really getting in touch. i'd like to say that i belong to the 2nd one. hahaha!
anyway, you can create your blogroll or links by clicking: CUSTOMIZE - LAYOUT - ADD A GADGET - BASICS. from there, you can copy-paste your chosen links. that's it. pretty easy.
hava a great day!
I just love that big metal dog! ha ha :)
ReplyDeleteOf all the Blogs of Note that I have checkout, I think yours is the finest! I like your picture of Jack London's grave; it’s so funny and just like life. When I was young, I saw a picture in a 1950s National Geographic of one of a huge live giant sequoia tree that had been cut for cars too drive through. I always wanted to find those trees and see that. When I finally got there, years later, after hiking several miles down hill, all I found was an old road going through a giant stump!
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to know how long it took the person to create the metal dog? That took some dedication and patience to complete. It's also the biggest dog I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteSo started traveling?Waiting for some of your interesting blogs..I posted some new blogs..if you can please visit and share your comments..http://subhadip-writerscolumn.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteTraveling is always cool! I just write college essay about traveling role in our life. But probably I take essay writing help for this.
ReplyDeleteI was impressed with Jack Londons Grave. He did so much in his life, but in the end... It doesn't really matters. I suggest to read "how to write essay".
ReplyDeleteI wish to travel the same like you Redux.
