FYI: I flew to Frankfurt from Dammam, Saudi Arabia, on June 22nd and then home to Houston on June 23rd. After the usual one week to recuperate from jet-lag, I finally am caught up on chores .... although my expense report is still pending! We had a ton of rain last Friday, but I managed to drive home without getting caught in high water - a fear we Houstonians always have to watch out for especially during thunderstorms. As always, it's great to be home - sweet - home.
Belated happy 4th of July. I really admire Americans because of your sense of nationalism and love of country - "the land of the free and the home of the brave." Keep it up!

ReplyDeleteHappy 4th Chemist!
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the Expense Report....mine is in a pile on my desk and I keep looking at it....dreading it always!
Safe travels!

ReplyDeleteYeah .. and the worst part about expense reports is having to sort out the various currencies and their associated exchange rates. For example, my most recent trip: Euros, Kuwaiti Dinars and Saudi Riyals.
So it goes ...
Traveling Chemist
I also dread making expense reports in the past especially with foreign currencies...but what I did to make it less toxic was to write the particulars at the back of the receipts, then I make a summary every evening for the whole day's expense and exchange rate. It's a price that comes with the pleasure of traveling at company's expense. :-)
