Toilet With a View at 39,000 Feet!!

Apologies to anyone who may be offended by this subject but I couldn't resist sharing this with my readers!

On board the Lufthansa Airbus cabin, the business class toilets come with a window located right over the toilet seat!! Although modesty almost forced me to close the window shade, I decided it wasn't worth the effort. After all, who would be outside looking in at 39,000 feet while we were flying at 580 MPH? Even a bird couldn't keep up with our aircraft!

You know, I have never used a toilet on a plane, because I am too terrified to move about whilst in the air - but I imagine I would have felt inclined to close the shade on the window... and then I would have felt foolish about it!

Its a strange thing to do, to put a window in there - What's more strange, is the fact that its above the toilet.... so you can't even look out of it when using... :)

Why can't they put such windows in the passenger section?

I agree with Scumbag Sam... Strange that they would put it above the toilet behind you. You can't even look out while "handling your business!" Intuitive, but not well thought through I suppose.

Could it be that the natural lighting is meant to be therapeutic whilst the user go about his/her businesses?

Probably you could try asking the cabin crew, or if not, the airline company itself: Contact Lufthansa via email
